Fiber networks are being deployed at near record numbers. What this means for network planners, design engineers and construction managers is that a method to aid in faster deployments with fewer people is now not just a luxury, but a necessity. Fiber distribution hub (FDH) cabinets play a significant role in almost any fiber network. FDH cabinets vary in size and type, however, one thing they all have in common is the need to provide a method to terminate both the feeder (F1) and the distribution (F2) fibers in an organized and protected manner.
Two of the most common methods are providing a FDH with a pre-terminated tail of a specified length and splicing that tail in a splice case mounted on the aerial strand or in the case of a buried deployment, placed in an underground vault, or providing a method to splice the feeder and distribution cables inside the FDH itself by terminating the fibers in small enclosures or cassettes. The second method is what is known as In cassette splicing (ICS).
In this online seminar we will explore the benefits of in cassette splicing and show how to reduce the overall cost of In this online seminar we will explore the benefits of in cassette splicing and show how to reduce the overall cost of deployments by saving TIME in not only the construction portion of the network, but also the planning and engineering phases as well. This FastPass approach to fiber deployment can get you to the front of the line so that you can double your speed to revenue.
Eliminating the cost for vaults, splice cases and the associated planning and permitting requirements, Clearfield’s in cassette splicing can reduce the overall TIME and COST when compared to a more traditional approach.
We will take attendees through the steps to show just how easy it can be to design and deploy a fiber network while eliminating unneeded components while also reducing or eliminating the additional permitting that is required when placing vaults and splice chambers in the public right of way.
For those planners, designers and construction managers looking for a better way to get your fiber services to your customers in a faster, and more cost-effective way, register today for Clearfield’s online seminar. It’s just a matter of time. Use Clearfield’s FastPass approach to get to the front of the line.
