Much like you, we want to make our product relevant to our customers/readers. Therefore, we analyze readership data to learn what you like best in terms of content and experiences.

The data says you want to learn about the newest technologies and best practices surrounding network transformation. Your favorite topics include: FTTx, Wireless, Power, Copper, and Damage Prevention/Restoration.

But, even more than that — the numbers and conversations we have with you tell us you want to know about the people behind the network. You crave insights from those execs and leaders who make strategic decisions about the networks of the future — and thus, YOUR future.

That’s why we are doing something different in 2019. We’ve shifted the focus of our cover stories to the human network behind this behemoth industry.

In January, we featured Nicola Palmer, Senior Vice President of Product Development & 5G Ecosystems, Verizon. This month, we share an exclusive interview with Veronica Bloodworth, AT&T’s Senior Vice President — Technology Service & Operations. Throughout the year, we’ll do our best to continue this pattern, so you can get to know the leaders who shape the network evolution side of the diverse ICT industry.

And while I have a few favorite questions to ask these leaders, I don’t pretend to know exactly what’s in your head. (Whaaat? No Mind-Reading 101 class in college?) So, email, tweet, or reach me via LinkedIn, and share the questions YOU want to ask them. We’ll promise to keep your anonymity. Or if you’d like: we’ll share your name with the executives we interview as well as our 25K print and digital readers. You decide how face-forward you want to be.

But, wait. There are more ways you can get involved with the content of YOUR magazine. If you know an outstanding leader who impacts the evolution of the wireline and wireless networks, throw his or her name in the ring to be on our cover. We’ll keep it hush-hush that you let the cat out of the bag. Or, if you’d like, we’ll pass along that you think he or she receives some well-deserved industry kudos.

Why take a chance and stick your neck out? Because this is a pretty darned safe way to practice risk-taking. And we all know that taking calculated risks helps us grow our leadership muscles. In the competitive business environment that exists today, those who are willing to risk position themselves as leaders, while others get left behind.

Come on and join us. You’ll never know how good risk-taking feels until you try.
