The Positron G.hn endpoint devices terminate the G.hn link (telephone pairs or coax) and offer one or two Gigabit Ethernet ports connectivity for various applications.
The G1001 series is a low-cost G.hn endpoint with a single Gigabit Ethernet port. The G1001 devices control how a Residential Gateway (or User CPE) connects to the G.hn Access Network under the control of the Positron GAM. In this role, they make sure the information transmitted over the G.hn links is protected with strong AES-128 encryption. The G1001 series is available with the following configurations:
- G1001-M: operates over telephone pairs (1 or 2 pairs) and offers one (1) Gigabit Ethernet port with extensive support for VLAN operation.
- G1001-MP: offers the same features as the G1001-M and comes with a POTS splitter port to connect a legacy telephone device and share the telephone pair(s) for voice operation.
- G1001-C: operates over coaxial cabling (F-type connector) and offers one (1) Gigabit Ethernet port with extensive support for VLAN operation.

The G1002 series terminates the G.hn link under the control of the Positron GAM, making sure the information transmitted over the G.hn links is protected with strong AES-128 encryption. It offers comprehensive VLAN support as per the IEEE 802.1q standard and the VLAN mode of each port is individually configurable: Trunk, Access or Untagged. The G1002 series is available with the following configurations:
- G1002-M: operates over telephone pairs (1 or 2 pairs) and offers two (2) Gigabit Ethernet ports with extensive support for VLAN Trunk operation on port #1. This is ideal when using Wi-Fi devices that maps a Dynamic Pre-Shared Key to a unique VLAN.
- G1002-M+ further adds support on GigE port #1 for Power over Ethernet (POE or POE+) as per the IEEE 802.3at standard (30W) to devices such as Wi-Fi Access Points, IP Camera or Residential Gateways (RG).
- G1002-C: operates over coaxial cabling (F-type connector) and offers two (2) Gigabit Ethernet ports with extensive support for VLAN Trunk operation on port #1. This is ideal when using Wi-Fi devices that maps a Dynamic Pre-Shared Key to a unique VLAN.
- G1002-C+ further adds support on GigE port #1 for Power over Ethernet (POE or POE+) as per the IEEE 802.3at standard (30W) to devices such as Wi-Fi Access Points, IP Camera or Residential Gateways (RG).
