Positron’s G.hn Access Multiplexer (GAM) achieves Gigabit speed at a distance of 2600 feet on RG6 cabling. When operating on coaxial cabling, each G.hn port of the GAM can support up to 16 subscribers by leveraging existing coaxial splitters and is compatible with legacy CATV. The GAM transforms the legacy wiring into VIRTUAL FIBER (looks like an ONT). The GAM-C product family extends fiber or fixed wireless over the existing coaxial cabling inside brownfield buildings at 25% of the cost of rewiring with fiber or CAT-6. The GAM-C is available in the following form factors and offer scalable, fastest time to revenue:
- GAM-12-C: 1U indoor unit with 12 G.hn port (F-type connector) and two (2) SFP+ 10 Gbps uplink ports
- GAM-24-C: 1U indoor unit with 24 G.hn port (F-type connector) and two (2) SFP+ 10 Gbps uplink ports
- GAM-4 CRX: IP68 outdoor unit with extended weather operation (-40C to +65C) with 4 G.hn port (F-type connector) and one (1) SFP+ 10Gbps uplink port. The GAM is reversed powered over the G.hn coax port for flexible outdoor deployment
