Fiber extension over telephone lines (MIMO) GAM-M

Positron’s G.hn Access Multiplexer (GAM) achieves Gigabit speed over one telephone pair (SISO mode) at 450 feet and at a distance of 850 feet when operating over two pairs (MIMO mode).  The GAM transforms the legacy wiring into VIRTUAL FIBER (looks like an ONT). The GAM-M product family extends fiber or fixed wireless over the existing telephone pairs inside brownfield buildings at 25% of the cost of rewiring with fiber or CAT-6. The GAM-M is available in the following form factors and offers scalable, fastest time to revenue:

  • GAM-12-M: 1U indoor unit with 12 G.hn port (capable of 1 or 2 pairs per port) and two (2) SFP+ 10 Gbps uplink ports
  • GAM-24-M: 1U indoor unit with 24 G.hn port (capable of 1 or 2 pairs per port) and two (2) SFP+ 10 Gbps uplink ports
  • GAM-4 MRX: IP68 outdoor unit with extended weather operation (-40C to +65C) with 4 G.hn port (capable of 1 or 2 pairs per port) and one (1) SFP+ 10Gbps uplink port.  The GAM is reversed powered over the G.hn pairs for flexible outdoor deployment
  • GAM-8 MRX: IP68 outdoor unit with extended weather operation (-40C to +65C) with 8 G.hn port (capable of 1 or 2 pairs per port) and one (1) SFP+ 10Gbps uplink port.  The GAM is reversed powered over the G.hn pairs for flexible outdoor deployment
