Highlights from Q4 2024 earnings reports from AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile
AT&T
AT&T reported 32.3 billion in revenues, just under a 1% increase year over year, and 122.3 billion for the year, down .1% from 2023.
For Q4, 482,000 net new postpaid phone additions, 307,000 new fiber subscribers, and 158,000 fixed wireless additions.
The company also reported strong convergence with fiber and mobile converged customers, as well as reporting copper network shutdowns that will continue through 2029.
Verizon
Verizon reported 35.7 billion in operating revenue for Q4, up 1.6% and 134.8 billion for the year, up .6% from 2023.
568,000 net new postpaid phone additions, 51,000 Fios fiber and adding fixed wireless a grand total of 408,000 new broadband additions in q4.
Verizon mentioned its AI product, AI Connect, is intended to provide AI workloads for business customers, and the company said they’re seeing increasing demand for their AI offerings.
T-Mobile
T-Mobile reported 21.87 billion in Q4 revenue, a 6.8% increase year over year, 81.4 billion for the year, up 3.6% from 2023.
For Q4, 903,000 net new postpaid customer additions.
The company also talked up AI, as well as 5G network slicing and its Starlink partnership.
