When it comes to creating innovative enclosures, there are many ways to get a project off the ground. Some of our customers kick it off with a sketch, literally, and that’s a great place to start. Regardless of how you get the ideas flowing, our engineers envision your goals from your perspective and apply their experience to transform your idea, first into a working design; then a fully tested prototype; and finally, a finished multivendor solution ready for deployment.

Our five-step approach to developing the right enclosure: 

  1. Defining the Challenge: Involves understanding your goals and needs; and gathering ideas. Armed with this information, the project moves to the design phase. 
  1. Designing the Solution: During the design phase, Fujitsu engineers calculate, model, simulate, design, revise and repeat, in order to arrive at the best possible solution, frequently meeting with your team to review, discuss and optimize the solution. Our process creates a true partnership that maximizes your input and the project’s success while minimizing the strain on your resources. 
  1. Engineering and Testing: The objective of the engineering and testing phase, is to create and finalize the assembly drawings, 3D modeling and wiring schematics in preparation for building the prototype. The prototype is created and tested in-house at Fujitsu’s Richardson, TX, manufacturing facility. Here, engineers have access to advanced design and fabrication capabilities as well as a complete range of equipment for compliance testing. 
  1. Developing and Testing the Prototype: The process of developing and testing a prototype ensures that the solution will function as required in the environment for which it is intended. This phase also provides an opportunity to fine-tune the finished solution and correct unforeseen problems. All Fujitsu co-created enclosures are vendor-agnostic, giving you the freedom to select the best components from a wide range of vendors. During manufacturing, Fujitsu’s standards and tolerances for material integrity and quality control are rigorous, providing yet another layer of reliability and giving you the confidence to know your solution is engineered and built to last. 
  1. Maximizing Supply Chain Efficiency: Fujitsu fulfillment experts will work with you and the E2CE team to make your supply chain and configuration or materials management as efficient as possible. If you decide to add supply chain and configuration management, Fujitsu can improve quality, lower your costs, and make your job easier. Instead of you managing dozens of vendors and part numbers, you only have to manage one. Fujitsu works with your team to make sure the custom solution arrives when and where they are needed for deployment.
