Greenlee Introduces New Tugger for Cables

Greenlee, a part of Emerson’s professional tools portfolio, recently introduced the GX10 Tugger™. The new tool "features a customized motor that delivers 10,000 pounds of pulling force to increase productivity and help reduce the risk of strain," according to the company.

The The GX10 has a dual-speed motor intended to provide durability at a steady pull speed with continuous operation at 0 pounds to 6,500 pounds; 5 minutes on/5 minutes off at 6,500 pounds to 9,000 pounds; and momentary operation at 9,000 pounds to 10,000 pounds.

Additional features include "multi-purpose" foot switch to control speed and start/stop operation, a right angle sheave intended to keep operators out of direct line of pulls, and a "force indicator" the company says helps prevent damage to puller and cable. Greenlee says the GX10 is compatible with Greenlee’s Pull Connect™ and Mobile VersiBoom™ II.
