Look for More One-Day Custom Events to Move Your Career Forward —

This spring, the ISE TECHForum introduced ICT/telecom network professionals to a new way to strengthen their professional development via a ONE-DAY custom education event tailored just for them.

Held at the Westin Chicago Northwest, attendees and vendors gathered for a day chock-full of niched education related to how 5G impacts the wireline and wireless networks.

The day began with a keynote presentation, Understanding the Transformational Effect of 5G Wireless Technology, by Chris Pearson, President, 5G Americas.   

Following Pearson’s address, Verizon’s Mark Nicholson, Emerging Technology Manager, and Sarah Le Blanc, Managing Partner, Data Sales, Business Sales – East, led the discussion on how 5G Ultra Wideband will transform the way service providers do business.

Breakout sessions included:
• Operational Considerations for Designing a FTTH Network
• Enhance Your Service With a Multifunction Gateway
• Protecting Your Business From Margin Erosion
• Fiber Network Design With 5G in Mind

The exhibit floor showcased tools, technologies and other solutions designed to help service providers move forward with 5G preparation WHILE they work to optimize their networks.

The Closing Keynote, The Future of the Industry Looks Like Less "BITS Clocks", was presented by Windstream’s Rodney Heil, Senior Director, Network Optimization.

Oliva has a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from the University of Iowa. She resides in St. Petersburg, FL, with her husband and two dogs along with their college age children, Mario and Sydnie, when they come home for rare visits.
