The Last Hundred Meters: OFS Single Family Drop Systems
Simplifying single family home installations
The last 100 meters from the drop to the home is critical for a fiber-to-the-home network. OFS makes single family home installations as simple as 1,2,3.
- First, choose your drop closure or terminal. For distributed split applications, terminals can be preloaded with splitters.
- Second, choose the drop cable. OFS offers drop cables for either aerial or underground applications. The EZ Bend Drop solution enables a single cable from the terminal to the ONT, and the outer jacket can be stripped off to reveal the InvisiLight® cord inside for a very clean installation.
Using the EZ Bend Drop Solution can significantly reduce costs and installation times. Traditional flat drop is also available.
- Finally, choose your termination type: factory connected plug and play, spliced, or field installable connectors.
